Why is HTTP_REFERER blocked ?

We are trying to improve our site by focusing on users
"where did they came from, and where do they go ..."

If you use Norton, the block referer is set by default,
to use normal settings: more help at symantec.com

If you use Norton, please call Symantec support
and ask why block referer is on by default.

If you use other firewalls or browser extensions
call dealer and ask how to enable block referer

When HTTP_REFERER is enabled, you don't have to go by this page for each external link.

If anyone are able to give a good answer of why referer should be
