Knutsvik Fjordferie

Knutsvik Knutsvik Farm is located on Jøsneset, sitting picturesque on the Ombo fjord in Hjelmeland county. The farm dates back to the 1700, when it was the seat of sorenskrivar/ kanselråd in Ryfylke - Georg Daniel Barth.

Kanselråd Barth was also a pioneer in horticulture and this is still important for the local economy which includes apple trees, pear trees and plum trees that are all over the farm. If you visit us during the spring, you will experience the natural beauty of the fruit trees in full bloom.

Vacation homes The vacation homes were completed in 2003 and are very comfortably equipped with living room, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, sauna and large storage room/ laundry room. There are two bedrooms with two beds on the main floor and two bedrooms with bunk beds on the second floor and the home will sleep 8.

The living room is equipped with a wood burning oven, stereo and satellite television. The kitchen is also well equipped with a refrigerator, deep freezer, stove, microwave oven, mixer and dishwasher. The storage room/ laundry room has both washer and dryer.

The master bathroom is equipped with separate shower, WC, sauna and Jacuzzi tub and the second bathroom on the main floor has shower and WC.

Floor plan Both vacation homes have large patios facing south/west with grills and patio furniture where you can enjoy the sun in the day, and a beautiful sunset in the evening.

There is a view of picturesque Ombo and Jelsa fjord from the living room, bedroom and the patio. Below the vacation homes there is a private beach and dock for swimming, fishing, or just recreation. The area has very good fishing and the vacation home includes a 16’ boat. An outboard motor for the boat is available for rent.

Closest shopping is about 6 minutes away and 10 minutes to the nearest café. For additional shopping you can drive to Nesvik, park your car and ride the ferry to Hjelmeland and enjoy shopping at Stortorjå center, which is located next to the pier.

If you visit us in the wintertime, a skiing complex is only 45 minutes away, with both lighted cross-country skiing and down hill skiing.

Pets are not allowed in the vacation homes. Cribs and highchairs are available upon request with linens and towels available for rent. Cleaning services available upon request for an additional fee.
